Create & Sip Socials at the Visual Arts Center (VAC). Join us for Scratchboard & Sangria Saturdays from 11am-1pm hosted by Sheryl Unwin!

Enjoy a fun time making a Scratchboard drawing while enjoying a glass of Sangria. Scratchboard is an illustrative technique using sharp knives and tools for engraving into a thin layer of white China clay coated with dark, often black India ink. You will be given samples and learn the different types of boards that can be used, the range of techniques and variety of different tools for etching your image. Sessions begin with a glass of Sangria at 11am and end before 1pm pm with a finished piece of art in this interesting medium. Great for friends, couples, relatives, or just yourself – an exciting way to spend time creating and expressing yourself.

$45 includes all supplies, sangria, and snacks. A fun evening out with lots of laughs- bring a friend or two!
