Discover the upland habitats of Southwest Florida!
Join instructor Kate Rose for this in-person Upland Systems course. Through a combination of classroom learning and field trips, you’ll explore pine flatwoods, scrub, dry prairie, hardwood forests, and more.
Students will visit diverse natural areas including Babcock Webb Wildlife Management Area, Walton Ranch Preserve, Myakka River State Park, and more all while building skills in plant and wildlife ID, interpretation, and environmental ethics.
