HOW IT WORKS:
The charity, as well as the vendors, will have auction items they will raffle off throughout the event.
Attendees purchase paddles for $3 each or 2 for $5. Paddle sales, 50/50 raffle sales, lottery tree sales, and quarters collected from any charity auction items go back to the charity.
Each paddle has a number. When an item is up for auction, the vendor or charity will show the item and announce the bid amount, usually in quarter increments.
You can bid once for each paddle you have. For example, if you have 2 paddles, you can bid 2 times on that item.
Place your quarters in the bowl at your table. Once bidding is closed, a number is drawn. If your paddle number is called and you placed your bid, you win the item!
The quarters collected from vendor auction items go to the vendor.
