About Kathryn – Kathryn Wallace is exceptionally qualified to be a judge due to her extensive legal experience, her dedication to community service, and her deep understanding of the law.
Her legal career spans over a decade, during which she served as an Assistant State Attorney, a Staff Attorney for the County and Circuit Court Judges of Charlotte County, and a private attorney. These roles have given her a comprehensive understanding of all stages of a case and an intimate knowledge of the law. Kathryn has had hands-on experience in handling thousands of criminal cases, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, which equips her with the understanding required to preside over court cases.
Furthermore, Kathryn has proven her commitment to the community through her extensive volunteer work. As a Rotarian, she understands the value of service to others and embodies this in her professional and personal life. This passion for community service gives her a unique perspective on the social implications of judicial decisions.
Kathryn’s dedication to her community, her clients, and her beliefs in transparency, fairness, and efficiency is a testament to the kind of judge she would be.
The position of Judge, is an office that comes with respect, but the individual judge must earn and keep respect. Judges need to be able to distinguish colorful argument from substance; to be decisive and comfortable with decisions they make; and to treat all with respect.
Cases that come before the court must be decided in a fair and impartial manner, free of influence or intimidation. Cases must always be decided based on the law as written in the US and Florida Constitutions and the statutes as written by the Florida legislature. Kathryn will ensure that all litigants are treated fairly and each case is given measured and thoughtful consideration.
In short, Kathryn’s breadth of experience, community involvement, and commitment to justice make her an excellent candidate for the position of Charlotte County Judge.
