The course emphasizes patience, persistence, and progress not perfection.
Course objectives:
George is preparing a lesson plan to include sensory and yielding techniques.
• Develop horse/rider trust & confidence
• Understand how your horse views you in the pecking order & how it affects training
• Recognize the importance of a one rein stop and how to apply it
• Identify five parts of the horse and how to move them individually
• Understand the horse’s reactionary response and what it affects
• Identify sight, sound and touch and multiple sensory stimuli
• Demonstrate proper riding position (seat) for maintaining balance
• Exposure to several stimuli while increasing intensity and safety
• Making the right thing easy and the hard thing hard
• Understanding and demonstrate the “release of pressure” as a reward for positive choice
• Attendance caps at 20 riders
