This course offers the student knowledge in the following areas:
How to read a Nautical Chart, identify various Aids to Navigation, determine Water Depth, magnetic and compass variation, Dead-Reckoning, hands on practice with charts, course plotting, how to find coordinates, speed, time and distance calculations.
