Author Patrice McDonough returns to Copperfish Books to talk about her second Victorian-era mystery novel, “A Slash of Emerald”. A trailblazing female medical examiner in 1867 London and a skeptical Scotland Yard detective investigate a string of art world murders in this dark, atmospheric, historically rich mystery.

The first book in the series, “Murder By Lamplight”, is now out in paperback.

After three decades of teaching high school history, Patrice retired and began a second career writing mysteries. She fell in love with Seminole Lakes when she visited her brother and sister-in-law. She divides her time between New Jersey and the Florida house she shares with her sister.
