We will conduct a Flag Ceremony at 1:00 P.M., followed by
Sausage and Peppers.
Flag Day holds profound, sacred significance to the Elks, making it one of the most important events on their calendar. The Elks were the first national organization to formally observe Flag Day in 1907 and lobbied for decades until President Harry S. Truman—an Elk himself—signed the act of Congress designating June 14 as a national observance in 1949.
