Our Punta Gorda Photo Group is an open, accepting camera and photography club. We have outings, photo exhibits, and camaraderie at our twice-monthly meetings at the Punta Gorda Library on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.
Members, please email show-and-tell images to Clyde Sweatt (ClydeSweatt@gmail.com), who will create a slideshow for our meetings. George Verity is our facilitator. We have a growing membership, and the next meeting is 1 pm on the Second Wednesday. Questions: 727.542.2566.
At this meeting, we will be displaying images for this month’s Theme: Macro Photography. Of course, you can submit other images you wish to show off. If you haven’t sent them to Clyde already, please do so as soon as possible. Please bring in some prints to show off as well!
We will also be discussing our upcoming photo exhibit at the library.

We will be discussing Macro photography and some of the challenges. Depth of Field is critical. Smaller apperatures mean greater Depth of Field, but also less light on the sensor. Increasing ISO increases the light sensitivity of the sensor, but also increases noise. We will discuss ways to mitigate these issues.
