The Yoga Sanctuary and The Foot Landing are excited to offer this unique 8-week program, designed specifically to take you from your yoga mat to a 7K – and not just any 7K, but the annual Chocolate Fantasia Night Run! Your training program will use a run/walk/run interval training method to get your across the finish line. Monday evenings you will be led by your RRCA-certified coach from The Foot Landing to develop and set your week’s training goals. Follow that session with a run-specific yoga class to help maintain flexibility and keep injuries at bay. Included in this yoga session will be short practices to continue with on your own. Next, meet with your running coach again on Wednesday evening for your second led run of the week. You will then be responsible for doing one additional run per week on your own. Your 8-week program will culminate with The Foot Landing’s Chocolate Fantasia 7K Night Run. Note: Cost of Chocolate Fantasia 7K Night Run is included in program cost. Participants should be able to walk or walk/run at least one mile prior to beginning the program. No pace requirement; no previous yoga experience necessary.
