Yoga Nidra: Sacred Sleep

Practiced for thousands of years by the sages and yogis, Yoga Nidra is the conscious awareness of the deep sleep state. This ancient practice is becoming increasingly popular as both a form of meditation and a mind-body therapy. As a systematic form of guided relaxation that is typically done in a class setting, yoga nidra can bring immediate physical benefits, such as reduced stress and better sleep. As a meditation practice, it can engender a profound sense of joy and well-being.
In this 90-minute session, we will explore the science behind this deep relaxation practice and its techniques. Then, you will be guided through a yoga nidra practice to experience its benefits firsthand.
