Great American Clean Up / Peace River

Downtown Bait & Tackle and Keeping Charlotte Beautiful have teamed up to help clean our Peace River and we need your help!

Help keep our waterways clean and beautiful! We will be checking-in at Downtown Bait &Tackle and launching at 9am to pick up debris along the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor areas.

You are welcome to go by boat, kayak, or on foot. We will meet back at 12pm and there will be free food and tons of Raffles.

What to bring:
• Work clothes and sturdy, closed-toe shoes
• Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
• Water
(Guidelines, trash bags, gloves, and some supplies will be available- feel free to bring your own supplies)

This year’s theme is “Recover and Restore”. Our goal is to remove debris on beaches, waterways, parks, and roadways where trash and debris from Ian have eluded us thus far and restore gardens and public spaces to their former beauty.
