Anxiety is part of the human condition – an essential element for survival. But anxiety run amok can become toxic, negatively affecting every aspect of our lives and stealing our joy. In this three-week series, we will learn how to identify and separate the three strands of anxiety, two of which are healthy and beneficial, and one which is not. With this insight, we will begin to see how we can take positive steps to regain control over our thoughts and our habitual responses to anxiety-producing situations. Through yogic techniques such as breathing exercises, mediation and restorative yoga poses, we will quiet our minds and bodies and begin the process of moving from a habitual state of anxiety to one of serenity.
