Edgewater Events presents an all out PARTY full of nostalgia, hit after hit with performances by international superstars Smash Mouth, Everclear and The Get Right Band. Smash Mouth formed in 1994 and their major label debut “Fush Yu Mang” goes more than DOUBLE PLATINUM featuring the huge hit “Walkin on the Sun” and sets the table for what most consider their masterpiece, the brilliant follow-up album “Astrolounge”. No sophomore slump for these guys. Boasting three top-ten hits (“All-Star,” “Then the Morning Comes,” and “Can’t Get Enough Of You Baby,”) sales for “Astrolounge” are nearly double those for their debut. Smash Mouth’s third eponymous Interscope release features the ecstatic firs t single “Pacific Coast Party” and the smash hit “I’m a Believer”. Everclear released their 1997 multiplatinum smash So Much For The Afterglow, yet the album remains a beloved fan favorite, and continues to inspire new generations of musicians & fans today. Bolstered by the record’s enduring popularity, Everclear are about to embark on a highly anticipated tour celebrating its milestone anniversary, with plans to perform the album front to back, including some tracks the band has never played live. After the limited release of their independently released debut album, World of Noise, the band found success with their first three albums on Capitol Records: Sparkle and Fade, So Much for the Afterglow, and Songs from an American Movie Vol. One: Learning How to Smile,[1] which were all certified platinum in sales, with hits like, Heroin Girl, Santa Monica, Everything to Everyone, I will Buy You a New Life, Father of Mine, Wonderful, and AM Radio. The Get Right Band is “hip-shaking, earthquaking pure funk fun” (The Alternate Root). They are one of Relix Magazine’s “On The Verge” picks and Home Grown Music Network’s 2015 “Best New Band of the Year” choice. They have performed on the famed World Cafe, a nationally syndicated NPR show. Combining catchy, clever songwriting with musical expertise and fearless improvisation, the live show promises to move your head, heart, and hips. The band is built on the musical brotherhood that guitarist/vocalist Silas Durocher and bassist Jesse Gentry have formed playing music together since middle school. Durocher, who is a trained composer and has been commissioned to write for symphonies and chamber groups, possesses guitar chops that can soothe or rage and a charismatic swagger as a frontman and a singer. “Durocher has an impressive range and rich clarity to his vocals—think a more soulful Dan Auerbach,” writes Connect Savannah. Gentry’s virtuosic bass playing “catapults from elastic to nasty” (The Mountain Xpress). With the addition of Jian-Claude Mears, who brings “precision, passion, fiery fills, and slow simmering rolls” (Live For Live Music), the group’s sound has become an unstoppable force.
