Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing Florida’s first Wildlife Management Area at Babcock-Webb WMA. (This is not to be confused with Babcock Ranch). Anniversary Flier
On Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. , there will be a variety of exciting hands-on activities for families to enjoy, all at no charge. There will be a kids’ fishing clinic, Kayak 101, K9 demonstrations, kids’ nature activities tent, exciting nature-based displays, shooting activities, food trucks and much more. Biologists will also offer hayride tours sharing how they manage natural resources and habitat for wildlife.
Babcock-Webb WMA is south of Punta Gorda, just off Tucker Grade on I-75, exit 158.
